FUCHS Winternationals fan fun

On Thursday 7 June 2012, with less than 24 hours remaining until Australia’s largest drag racing event – the FUCHS Winternationals - kicks off at Willowbank Raceway, fans will have no less than two free chances to meet and greet with the stars of their sport at the Logan Hyperdome and Riverlink Shopping Centre.
When:
• Logan Hyperdome media launch/availability: 8.30am to 11.00am Thursday 7 June 2012
• Logan Hyperdome fan meet and greet: 11.00am to 1.00pm Thursday 7 June 2012
• Riverlink Shopping Centre Fan Evening: 6.45pm to 8.30pm Thursday 7 June 2012
What:
• Media launch for FUCHS Winternationals followed by fan meet and greet at Logan Hyperdome
Top Doorslammer champion John Zappia and former Top Fuel champion Phil Lamattina, along with their high-powered racing machines, will be on hand in the piazza to chat to the media about the upcoming FUCHS Winternationals. John Zappia will also ‘start-up’ his vehicle for the benefit of media attendees. All drivers and Willowbank Raceway Vice President Paul Casos will be available for media comment and photos. From 12.00pm to 1.00pm, the attending drivers will be available to meet with fans, sign autographs and answer questions.
• Fan night at Riverlink Shopping Centre
From 6.45pm until 8.30pm the eastern wing of Riverlink Shopping Centre will play host to drivers, entertainers, fashion parades and the opportunity to win great prizes ahead of Australia’s largest drag racing event. Top Doorslammer champion John Zappia, former Top Fuel champ Phil Lamattina, current Top Fuel Champion Darren Morgan, current Top Fuel Bike Champion Chris Matheson and Pro Stock Star Shane Tucker will be joined by leading ANDRA Pro Series and Rocket Allstars Series drivers and riders to sign autographs, model event merchandise and answer questions for the fans in what is the fourth annual Winternationals fan event held at the centre. All drivers and Willowbank Raceway Managing Director Steve Bettes will be available for media comment and photos upon request.

Across 8-11 June 2012 Willowbank Raceway will host the 45th running of Australia’s largest drag racing event, with the FUCHS Winternationals to feature the final rounds of both the ANDRA Pro Series and the Rocket Allstars Racing Series. The action will not be confined to the quarter-mile however, with family entertainment, trade shows and plenty of action in pit lane for the whole family. Tickets start from just $20 with students (with ID) able to access discounted entry and children 13 and under enjoying free admission.
